Charrería is the national sport of Mexico but it’s also so much more. It is deep-rooted in customs that go back for centuries spanning the globe and amassing equestrian skills as an art form.
At the Asociacion de Charros de San Antonio we are passionate about upholding this culture, its traditions, the family-centric values, and the absolute fun of riding horses for over 59 years.
In celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day, Sunday September 15, 2013, the Asociacion de Charros de San
Antonio will have two Charreada’s – one at 12:00 noon and the second at 3:00. During both Charreada’s
and in between we will have a competition between 5-8 Escaramuza’s with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
places. Gates open at 11:00am. Entry fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 5-11
and free for Children 4 and under.
